For business asset disposition, which form do we use?
A mother gave her Sole Proprietor business to her son and no more run the business. On her Form 1040, where does she report the disposition of her business asset other than her Gift Tax Return. Form 4797 is what we use to show sales of Business Property. Is this form what mom is going to use even the disposition was not a sale but a gift.
